We can’t wait to welcome you to our Main Campus in Horsforth for your Biomedical Science Applicant Experience Day.

Your Applicant Experience Day is the perfect opportunity to get a feel for life at Leeds Trinity University.

You’ll get to meet other new students, explore the facilities where you’ll study, get to know some of your future lecturers, and take part in an interactive subject taster session during your visit.

Your Interactive subject session - Inside the Lab: Hands-On Biomedical Science

Ever wondered what happens to your sample after the doctor takes it? It goes to a Biomedical Scientist – and today, that's you.

Go hands-on with the techniques that save lives. Master aseptic microbiology methods, then test your skills in a biological safety cabinet designed to keep everything sterile. Create and stain your own cell slides, view them under the microscope, and analyse real patient samples to diagnose what's wrong.

The finale? Use laboratory-standard pipettes to load patient DNA into an agarose gel and identify who's infected with the mysterious "Disease-X" before it's too late.

1:15pm – 3:15pm	Interactive Subject Session Get a deeper insight into your course by experiencing your chosen subject in this interactive session.
3:15pm – 4:00pm	Personalise your Applicant Experience Day Use this time to tailor your visit to your interests and needs. You can visit the Information Fair and get your questions answered, or join a Campus Tour to see key facilities and a selection of our student accommodation.
